AUGNITO

Augnito from Scribetech will streamline workflows and improve patient data processes.

[London, 2 September 2021] – Clinical voice solutions specialist, Scribetech, is working with healthcare institutions across the UK to implement its new cloud-based voice AI product suite, Augnito.

The global pandemic has further highlighted the need for more efficient, device agnostic, voice-enabled healthcare products and services and an accelerated move away from legacy devices such as pagers and unsecure commercial generic voice recognition apps. Advancements in AI and voice technology mean clinicians now have access to a secure tool that can help reduce admin by up to an hour a day and save hundreds of pounds in related data entry costs.

Augnito is an evolution of Scribetech’s digital dictation and transcription services, which have been used by the NHS for 20 years. It is a portable, secure, cloud-based, AI-driven clinical speech recognition product that offers fast, easy ways to capture live clinical data on any device, Windows, Mac, or smartphone, with 99% accuracy. It turns medical information into clinical documentation by automatically transcribing medical records, referrals, or patient letters at the point of dictation. Augnito also supports speciality language models including radiology, histopathology and cardiology and can recognise regional and international dialects.

The suite’s easy to integrate API product means it can be added to existing Trust’s clinical systems or used to speech-enable an EPR.  A unique kit offers healthcare technology professionals and software developers a fast, easy way to automatically integrate speech recognition and voice-driven commands and controls into their own clinical systems.

Augnito’s key features include:

  • Save up to an hour on admin work every day with at-the-cursor speech recognition
  • Integrate speech recognition into any clinical system and easily feed information back into patient records
  • Streamline workflows with useful voice commands and timesaving macros
  • Use from anywhere with desktop, mobile and in-browser access
  • Reinvest time saved into delivering the highest standards of patient care
  • Start instantly with fast setup and no voice profile training

Shiraz Austin, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Scribetech, said: “The pandemic has highlighted the need for more efficient solutions in our healthcare systems. Augnito has been designed with input from doctors and AI scientists with the aim of significantly reducing clinicians’ workloads, allowing them to focus on providing the best possible care for their patients.”

AUGNITO
Augnito from Scribetech cuts workload and streamlines processes in general practice.

[London, 2 September 2021] – Clinical voice solutions specialist, Scribetech, has announced the launch of its new cloud-based voice AI product, Augnito.

Augnito is an evolution of Scribetech’s digital dictation and transcription services, which have been used in the NHS for 20 years. It has been launched in response to the need for GPs and practice staff to maximise their time and reduce contact with shared keyboards and equipment under increasing pressure as a result of the pandemic.

GPs provide an estimated 300 million patient consultations each year in the UK and each instance generates a new record in the patient’s history or an update to an existing one. This means GPs and secretaries are under increasing pressure to complete a significant amount of administration as quickly as possible.

Augnito is a portable, secure, cloud-based, AI-driven clinical speech recognition platform that offers a fast and efficient way to capture live clinical data on any device, Windows, Mac, or smartphone, with 99% accuracy. It turns medical information into clinical documentation by automatically transcribing medical records, referrals, or patient letters at the cursor and point of dictation. Augnito supports many medical speciality language models in addition to recognising all regional and international accents and dialects. With its easy to integrate API and software development kit, Augnito can be added seamlessly to existing electronic patient record systems and is proven to save GPs up to an hour of admin per day.

Shiraz Austin, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Scribetech, said: “Voice technology has a critical role to play in our healthcare system. The pandemic has highlighted the fact that clinicians are time poor and there is a clear need for more efficient solutions to help them prioritise patient care. Augnito is designed to significantly reduce the workload of GPs and support staff allowing them to focus on more important tasks.”

Speech is three times faster than typing and with Augnito, GPs can navigate clinical systems with just their voice. This enables them to maximise the speed at which medical records, referrals and patient letters are generated.

Shiraz went on to say: “Scribetech developed Augnito with the aim of delivering timely and accurately transcribed medical documents. With the input of doctors and AI scientists we’ve been able to a build a product suite we believe is the next generation of voice powered technology. It’s making a huge difference to medical institutions across the globe.”

The new brand has been designed to reflect the focus and dedication that Scribetech attributes to precision and perfection and to solidify their status as one of the leading providers. We comply with the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity standards but also implement a range of our own highly rigorous standards developed over years to mitigate against any risk.

Further development has also been undertaken to customise software which has been guided by both the work coming from the research and development facility and from the user group programme. This has ensured that all systems have been integrated seamlessly with Trusts’ systems.

We are acutely aware that every Trust is very different,” said Andy Rennison, Chief Technology Officer. “Because we understand our customer’s needs very well and acknowledge that they may be very different, coupled with my own experience as an NHS Manager, we have developed the most sophisticated document creation products available within the UK Healthcare market.

Users are provided with an intuitive, NHS-friendly interface enabling them to easily create, track, transcribe and manage staff workloads, as well as allowing them to leverage additional options such as Speech Recognition, Outsourcing or smartphone-based dictation.

The advanced workflow management and seamless integration of outsource services enables Scribetech to become part of the extended Trust team. With Trusts facing increasing cost pressures, these tailored innovations bring huge cost savings and productivity improvements to the NHS.
